Please note, the following positions are being offered as intern based opportunites, ideal for individuals interested in entering the entertainment industry. The ideal individual will gain experience, connections and exposure. Only inquire if you are interested in this field as these are non-paid positions. Qualifications
Successful completion of freshman year of college studies. Demonstrated knowledge of how to write a basic, coherent, news release or news story. Must have a PC or Laptop. Ability to use email and word-processing software, easily navigate the Internet and use other software after sufficient training. Willingness to approach record companies, models, recording artists and individuals by phone, snail- and/or e-mail.

Entry-Level Public Relations Representative
Develop and enhance positive images of PJ Productions. Build and maintain a carefully planned relationship with the public and press.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Write and edit reports, news releases, brochures, speeches, videos, scripts, trade magazine articles, newsletters and other management communictaions.
- Plan news conferences, convention exhibits, anniversary celebrations, contest and award programs and special meetings.
- Communicate in person and prepare and deliver speeches.
- Gather facts through interviews, library materials, informal conversations and opinion research.
- Deliver releases to editoral offices.
- Compile media distribution lists.
Program Director
Directs broadcast of one or more radio programs for live broadcast or electronic recording. Edits pre-recorded programs using sound editing software to minimize dead air and create breaks for ads. Advises Operations Manager whats songs are current, what should be played at any given time. Integrates various parts of program or ad announcements to produce entertainment balance. Monitors RadioWave and Billboard for new releases and artists. Advises staff on pace of program or commercial announcement to stay within time requirements. Create and maintain playlists using Music 1 scheduler software.
Advertising and Promotions Managers
Plan and direct advertising policies and programs or produce collateral materials, such as posters, contests, coupons, or give-aways, to create extra interest in The PJ Productions Radio Network. This job description is intended for positions where the responsibilities are not routine in nature.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Confer with clients to provide marketing or technical advice.
- Confer with department heads and/or staff to discuss topics such as contracts, selection of advertising media, or product to be advertised.
- Coordinate activities of departments, such as sales, graphic arts, media, finance, and research.
- Coordinate with the media to disseminate advertising.
- Formulate plans to extend business with established accounts and to transact business as agent for advertising accounts.
Gather and organize information to plan advertising campaigns.
Market Research Anaylist
Assist by using audience and market research for positioning the stations and the African American market. This position also assists the Programming and Promotions departments as well as station management.This job description is intended for positions where the responsibilities are not routine in nature.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze and produce audience and market trends.
- Advises operations staff on syndicated research and software programs available to them.
- Monitor relative printed information for distribution to the staff.
- Provide audience analysis to station Program Directors and General Manager.
This position requires the working knowledge of Word, Excel and the use of the Internet
Advertising Sales Agents
Sell or solicit advertising, including graphic art, advertising space on our websites, or radio advertising time. May obtain leases for outdoor advertising sites or persuade retailer to use sales promotion display items.
Independent Producers/Radio Announcers
Wanted Radio Announcers or DJs to host/produce music, talk, interview radio shows for our radio stations. Many openings are now available. Fantastic opportunity to have your voice heard worldwide and possibly meet recording artists. No experience is necessary and these shows can be done in your spare time.
